My name is Mike Petito and I'm from Victor, New York. I'm currenty in 8th grade, and I like computers...a lot. I also like snow mobiling, running, and swimming. I'm doing web development jobs for people, and if you'd like me to help you, e-mail me.
Some of the sites I've built include:
This Site (Mike's Homepage) - www.activelabsdev.com/mpnew
Boylan, Brown, Code, Fowler, Vigdor & Wilson, LLP. - www.boylanbrown.com
ActiveLabs Development - www.activelabs.com
McCall Staffing Associates, Ltd. - In Prog.
My Computer:
My computer is pretty cool. I've sorta pieced it together from mail order parts
and things laying around the house..Currently, it is a Celeron 300A overclocked to 450 Mhz
on an Abit BH6 mother board (I'm hoping to reach 504 Mhz soon)..It has 128 MB of RAM...a
cable modem (really fast - 100-600 kilobytes per sec!)..a Viper V330 / Voodoo 2
12MB..17" monitor (old, but good)..13 GB hard drive storage (not the fastest HDs in
the world though)..and 5 speakers (subwoofers rock!)...I did all this for a pretty good
price, mostly because I found 4 great places to buy parts from:
www.buycomp.com
www.cdw.com
www.jncs.com
www.shoppingplanet.com
3D Graphics:
I have been playing around with a program called Asymetrix WEB 3D that was on a CD I bought with my video card, and really like playing with it. I haven't been able to do much with it, as it was originally intended for web design (not that I ever use it for that), and have been looking for a new 3D graphics design application. I haven't found anything that was within my price range that I actually liked, so if you have any suggestions, please e-mail me.
Mini Discs:
For those of you who don't know, MiniDiscs are small 2.5" (I think) CDs, that can record 74 minutes of stereo music, or 148 minutes of mono music. There are portable players, home entertainment systems, and car stereo minidisc compnents..some of which can playback and record, others can only playback music. Sony seems to be the best company making MD players/recorders, atleast, so far.
